Yak and Yeti

Yak and Yeti is a table service restaurant, brought to you by the same company that runs Rainforest Cafe.

The food isn't bad, but my number one place to eat in Animal Kingdom is still Tusker House.

Kali River Rapids

Kali River Rapids is a river raft ride, whose sole purpose is to soak you from head to toe. It can after all, get hot in...Asia. They tried to put in this environmental message, but I'm sure 99.9% of the people on this attraction isn't there for an environmental message.

But that aside, the themeing is excellent, with plenty to look at while you snake your way through the queue.

Expedition Everest

Expedition Everest is Disney's newest Coaster, and it's a fun one indeed. It's also a richly themed attraction, from the time you start walking toward the mountain, until you go through the Yeti Museum and finally meet the Yeti (named Betty) inside the mountain itself...

The construction of this mountain did a couple of things. It introduced another table and counter service food venue (Yak and Yeti), as well as a connecting path between Asia and Dinoland U.S.A., without having to go through Discovery Island.

Expedition Everest Queue

Many of the things in the queue are actually things that the Imagineers brought back from Tibet. Most of it junk, but that's what makes the themeing interesting. Much of it is brand new and aged a few decades. Even the Fastpass queue is well themed, and not just a shortcut through the queue...

Is it sad to report that Betty the Yeti has been broken for years now. The original problem has been fixed, but there isn't any plans yet to put her back in her train swiping glory.
