Harambe is a remarkably well maintained run-down place. There are several quick service and African themed gift shops here, including one of the premier attractions that was adopted into my favorite on-site resort.
Tusker House Restaurant
Arguably one of the best restaurants at WDW, and the best in Animal Kingdom, is Tusker House. It's a buffet that rival's Boma. It's on my list of restaurants I'd go back to...Kilimanjaro Safari
Covering about 20% of Animal Kingdom is a single attraction, the premier live animal exhibit, Kilimanjaro Safaris. It's a carefully crafted area of the park, where a truck takes you on a two-week African safari through the wetlands and savannas of Africa. It used to have a pretty dumb storyline, but they've cleaned it up a little, and most of the dumb was removed. (For instance, you've just ridden through Disney's premier live animal attraction, and the fictitious baby elephant you save is... is an animatronic. Dumb. But fear not, Lil' Red has been removed from the script.)
Overall it's a fun ride, and usually has a decent animal viewing experience.
You can see some really bad video here.
