Epilog:
Oh, and that shuttle launch? We got up that morning, turned on WESH, and the probability of a launch was 40%. The backup landing site was 40%. Both have to be clear when the launch time comes. Now my meager math skills tells me that 40% at each site, is lower than the 60% back in December 2006 when I was here last. That mission was scrubbed at 0 minutes, and I wasted an entire evening. So we went to Downtown Disney, instead.

Unbeknownst to us, the shuttle did go off. As a consolation prize, we ran into three CM's in Downtown Disney that were handing out YoaMD Lanyards with two YoaMD pins. We each got one. So even though I'd never dream of a pin lanyard in a million years, my dream has been fulfilled. And I never did get that night in the Castle. :-)
