Day8 (continued) - Magic Kingdom

After leaving Animal Kingdom, we (or maybe I) decided we could go do Wishes. I'm still having a hard time deciding whether Illuminations or Wishes is the better show. The majestic score of Illuminations is better than the traditional Disney music of Wishes (this isn't saying the music is bad) but the technology and choreography of Wishes in the setting of Magic Kingdom is masterful. But having seen Illuminations over a dozen times, Wishes got the nod.

PiC is tired, and I don't blame her, so instead of waiting on Main Street, we go over to the Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station and get a table right next to the railing, with a clear view of the castle. I've videotaped Wishes from this location before, and Tink flies right overhead. And you get to sit down in real chairs. I set up the tripod and take some test shots with the G7, while PiC goes to treat an ice cream addiction.

The weather pattern of the Party last night continues tonight, making it one of those rare nights that the fireworks don't drift right to left. During some sequences, the smoke from the fireworks obscures the Castle, and the smoke trails don't dissipate as quickly as they normally do...

Day 9 - Disney-MGM Studios

There wasn't any particular reason we went to MGM, other than it's the one theme park we hadn't visited yet (this trip.) They're already putting up the lights for the Osborne Christmas show. I have to come back to see the Osborne Lights again. Stopped in to see Lights, Motors, Action! Stunt Show. I wonder what it would take to let me drive one of those specially prepared cars. It'd be a blast.

Went through Magic of Disney Animation again, just to see the Remy and Emile characters. I have *got* to remember where the back door to this place is.

Walt Disney World, Disney-MGM Studios, Day 9

Wandered over to the foot court and had a turkey leg to hold off our hunger until we eat at Citricos tonight. Theater of the Stars is open for the next Beauty and the Beast performance. Ask the CM if Four For a Dollar is preshowing. No. We thank her and walk away dejected. It must amuse the CM when the preshow is more popular than the show itself...

We leave the park at 4:00pm, and plan to take the long way to the Grand Floridian for dinner. Through the Boardwalk. But that's another story...
